Halloween Costume Guidelines
We would like Halloween to be fun for all children at Dryden, so costumes are expected to portray non-violent characters. Please remember that we are a kindergarten through fifth-grade elementary school. Costumes that may be appropriate for older students and adults may frighten younger children. We are requesting your cooperation in selecting school-appropriate costumes that avoid violence, sharp objects, weapons (knife, gun, sword, lightsaber, etc.), “squirting or dripping” blood, gore, etc. Accessories such as brooms, pitchforks, septors, wands, hockey sticks and baseball bats should also not be brought to school. Please consider selecting a costume that reflects an upbeat, positive theme. We want to model positive examples of caring, respect, and responsibility. In the interest of safety, please be sure your child is able to walk and sit comfortably in his/her costume and is able to see where he/she is walking (some masks and costumes obstruct a child's view).
Friday Flips are Back!
At Dryden, we FLIP for good choices!
The Dryden staff is on the lookout for students going above and beyond in big and small ways to make a positive impact on their school community. These Dolphin sightings are recognized during the morning announcements on Fridays. The students above were recognized for exemplifying the Dryden Dolphin Do's of being CARING, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE. Stay tuned for weekly updates on these awesome Dolphin sightings and Friday Flips!
Bravo, Music for Youth Performers!
We are proud of the Dryden students who performed in this concert for students in kindergarten through third grade. We really enjoyed the concert!
