FROM THE COUNSELOR'S CORNER

We are on the home stretch for the end of this school year and things are really busy here at Jerry Ross. Mrs. Berger and I had our last friendship lunches of the year last Thursday. It was beautiful weather so we enjoyed lunch and snacks in our outdoor learning lab with our students.

We want to congratulate Mrs. Sims and Ms. Klavas’ classes for earning their 15 Stars + for their SPACE Shields and winning one of our weekly raffle drawings. They each chose to have outdoor recess with me as their reward. It is always the highlight of our week(s) to see the kids having a great time, getting fresh air, and really appreciating their Positive Behavior rewards. We enjoy being outside for the fresh air and sunshine just as much as the students.

Lastly, we had our last student of the month breakfast for this school year this morning. This month’s life skill is “Finishing Strong." Mrs. Berger and I have included a picture with our 5th grade student of the month nominee for you to enjoy.

We are ending our week with the 5th Grade Dance tonight after school which we will be attending to help provide support and supervision for this fun event. It has been a jam packed school year with our amazing students, staff, parents, and we will be continuing to work so that we finish STRONG.

Best wishes for an amazing summer and and looking forward to our next school year,

Mrs. Pape, PBIS Coach & Mrs. Berger, School Counselor
