A message from Mrs. Rittmiller

It is amazing to think we are already into December. Our students are learning leaps and bounds every day. Our teachers and support staff are incredible and are very student focused and working hard to meet the needs of every student. I am impressed with our students' excitement for learning and enthusiasm they display for school each day. Let us continue to work together to encourage great citizens, learners, and workers for our future years!

Together in Learning,

Mrs. Rittmiller

A note from our Nurse Molly

A friendly reminder that we have BinaxNow OTC test kits available for student use - at home. If you have already obtained a set of these from the school and would like a second kit, please reach out to the school office. These test kits are to be used when rapid results are needed due to a child being symptomatic, and/or can be used for the asymptomatic student that has had a known exposure to a COVID case. Using a nasal swab and following the detailed instructions, results can be obtained within 15 minutes. A positive result would indicate that the child has COVID-19. Please report all positive test results and any further questions to District Nurse Molly Thelemann at mthelemann@isd2397.org.

A note from Mrs. Weick Regarding our Holiday Concert

Hilltop’s Winter Musical

Bring on the Snow

Thursday, December 16th, 2021 6:30pm

Below is important information about our winter concert:

On Thursday, Dec. 16th, during the school day, all Hilltop students will be rehearsing at the high school in the afternoon and will be dismissed to go home from the HS at the end of the school day. Please watch for a TRANSPORTATION form next week, fill it out and return ASAP to the school office.

For all students in grades 4-5, I would like for them to dress nicely. I prefer students to wear concert clothes, i.e. dresses, dress pants, shirts, ties. I like the kids to look “dressed up”. Please no jeans with holes and rips, no gym pants, no shirts with brand logos and writing if possible. There are a few 5th graders that have costumes specific to their character, I will supply what is needed.

The evening concert begins at 6:30pm; please have your child to the HS choir room BY 6:15pm. If you arrive earlier than 6:15, your child will need to wait with you in the auditorium, as classroom teachers/volunteers may not be there to supervise until 6:15. I also ask that your student leave their winter coat with you because we will not be returning to the choir room after we are done singing. When the program is over, your student will be dismissed to the COMMONS area.

There is a HS Girls Basketball game going on this evening, so please note that PARKING MAY BE DIFFICULT! Please plan accordingly and sorry for this inconvenience.

If you have any questions, please call me at 665-5926 or email me at jweick@isd2397.org.

Thank You,

Jennifer Weick, Music Specialist
