MPS returns with in-person instruction on Monday, February 22nd

Whew, what a crazy few weeks it has been! I hope this finds everyone doing well, and I am sure all are ready for some warmer weather. Some good news is that barring something unforeseen, all school sites will be open, and we will have in-person instruction on Monday, February 22nd.

Also, even though February 15th-18th were used as inclement weather days, we do have enough time in our calendar that those days will not need to be made up.

Here's to an uneventful remainder of the school year!

Ottawa County moves down to Orange Level 1 on the COVID Risk Map

Ottawa County moved down to Orange Level 1 on the COVID-19 risk map released yesterday, February 19th. This is positive news, as our county COVID cases have continued to decline for the last month. ALL school sites will provide in-person instruction next week (Feb. 22nd-26th), as the weather allows. We continue to monitor COVID cases and quarantines at every school site and make the necessary adjustments. We will keep you abreast of any changes at our school sites.

Thank you for your continued support!

MPS - Isolation and Quarantine Data

For the first time since the first weeks of school, there are currently no COVID-positive students or staff that have been reported to MPS. Currently, there is one staff member and two students under quarantine due to close contact. While this data is extremely positive and the lowest COVID numbers we have experienced since August, there is no denying the inclement weather has played a significant role. Please continue being diligent in protecting yourself and others. You can view the district’s data on isolations and quarantines by clicking here.
