It's Almost Time!
The Boys and Girls Club will be closed for the first week of school (Aug 20-23). If your child usually attends club after school, please make alternate arrangements and be sure to communicate those arrangements with the school office.
Immunizations are required for each student prior to beginning school. If your child is not up to date on immunizations, we have attached a list of possible providers below. We look forward to each student being ready to attend school on day one.
Now is a great time to renew your volunteer application for the entire school year. These must be completed each school year, so even if you were approved in April, you would have to resubmit your application for this school year. If you would like to have the option of attending class parties or events, field trips, visiting or volunteering in the classroom or school during school hours, you must have this application complete. It can take a few weeks for the process to complete, so don’t wait until you hear of something you want to attend – apply now to be ready. It must be done online at https://www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us then follow links for volunteers. If you have trouble accessing computers or internet, the Kasilof Public Library is located in our school and is open Monday – Thursday from 2-6pm.
Thank you to the 36 households who have joined the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program and selected Tustumena PTO for their donation. Those households brought $259.84 in donations to our PTO for this quarter! And, it’s no cost to those families – these benefits are IN ADDITION TO the household rewards already received.
PEAKS test results are available in the school office for parents of 4th-6th grade students who participated in the testing. There is a Parents Guild to Student Reports found at https://education.alaska.gov/tls/assessments/peaks.html if you would like additional information regarding results.
