Mid Winter Break is near


Please keep in mind that this week is a four day week. There will be no school on Friday, February 14th or on Monday, February 17th due to Mid Winter Break.

Valentine's Dance - Wednesday, February 12th 5pm - 7pm

The annual Valentine's Dance is scheduled for this Wednesday from 5pm - 7pm. Tickets are $5 and will be available to purchase during lunches and at the door on Wednesday. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase. Students that have not received a referral since Jan. 13th are welcome to attend.

1st Semester Awards

This past week we were able to celebrate our student successes from 1st semester. Specifically we provided awards for Attendance, Principal's List and Honor Roll. Take a peek at the video Mr. Mares put together that shows all of our awesome kids that earned awards!

8th Grade Mackinac Island Payment Due 2/13

The next payment for students attending the 8th Grade Mackinac Island trip is due on 2/13. This payment is $100.

7th Grade Field Trip

7th graders will be taking a field trip to Celebration Cinema on February 21st, to see the newly released movie, "Call of the Wild". This movie will align with the novel that they are reading in 7th grade ELA. Permission slips are due on 2/13. Cost to attend is $7.00

Girls Who Code Club Coming!

We will be starting a new club that will occur during the school day, called Girls Who Code. This will target female students in grades 6-8 that are interested in exploring the world of Code. The mission of the organization is to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.

If you have a female student that is interested in this club, have them stop by the office and sign up. We will be reaching out to students that are interested and in good academic standing with more information soon.
