Serving Others
Avery: I helped my Mimi water the plants. I pick up trash when I see it. I give school supplies to people.
Brody: I donated money to the poor.
Matthew: I took care of Pudin because she doesn't have a friend. (Pudin is his guinea pig.)
Maddie: I took cookies to my local firemen.
Jace: I planted to help my neighbor.
Ellie: I helped my community by giving sandwiches to the homeless.
Ashton: I helped animals find homes. I also helped people put food in their cars.
Caitlin: I made blankets for homeless people.
Isy: I went to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital to take toys I bought with my kindness dollars.
Trinity: I made blankets for cats and dogs in need.
Sydnie: I am going to the Humane Society to help.
Austin: I helped my grandad plant cucumbers.
Baker: I helped a homeless veteran by giving him a survival kit.
Bolton: We moved this summer and I helped my mom and dad unload boxes.
Joseph: I helped people that need food by collecting 61 cans of beans for the Food Bank.
Elijah: I helped baby animals that were hurt.
Allie: I want to help animals and poor people.
Olive: I helped my neighbor pick her cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers.
AJ helped her grandmother by painting and moving her into a new home.
Isaiah gave money to the poor.

Bible

Be prepared to say this part of the Bible verse to me on Thursday or Friday.
Spelling
List B: spat, scan, twirl, smart, skid, trash, snap, stash, stop, splash
List A: spatula, sparkler, scamper, twinge, smooth, skeleton, triumph, sweat, snore, staple
The test will be on Friday morning.
We will do Spelling activities in our Spelling notebooks which we keep at school to practice. If your child starts an activity at school, he or she may finish it at home. Just make sure the spelling notebook is put back in the backpack for the next day. We use them everyday.

Math
There will be math homework beginning this week. Please check your child's folder on the "Return to School" side for the workbook pages that should be completed at home and sent back to school in the blue folder. Your child is responsible for completing the homework and turning it in the homework tray each morning.
Science
- Lunch for third grade starts at 11:25 and will be eaten at the football field.
- If your child will be dismissed with you early, please sign out on the list I will have on a clipboard.
- Third Grade Students wear Friday attire: jeans/khaki shorts and spirit shirt, tennis shoes.
- Apply sunscreen before sending your child to school.
- Bring a hat.
- Bring a towel or blanket to sit on.
- Bring a slotted spoon for activity during the viewing party.
HELP NEEDED: Can someone bring a cooler loaded with water for us? Also, we could use a tent for shade while we wait. Respond by email if you can help.
Social Studies
We will also begin learning about longitude and latitude.
