South Africa

By Jacob Barnes

This country might be in the bottom of
Africa but it has many cultures that are used in western civilization and cultures that originated from South Africa.
South Africa is 68% christian.
2% islam
and 1.5% Hindi.

South Africa’s largest neighbors are oceans. The country is bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

These bodies of water supply lots of food and also a rare but popular dish of shark fin soup.

Ethnic groups

The biggest groups are Zulus (21 %), Xhosas (17 %) and the Sotho (15%). Next smaller minorities are the Tswana, Venda, Ndebele, Swasi, and Pedi, among others. The Khoi-Sans are originally hunter-gatherers who have inhabited the land for a long time.

This is a governmental form of segregation that involves seperation between races, cultures, ethnic groups, skin color etc...

South Africa's First Black President

In 1994 the first black president was elected. The reason this was such a good thing at the time was that in south africa at the moment, segregation was a big problem and blacks and other segregated races had hopes for a big change.
today south africa still faces this problem but just as america worked through the same problem south africa is pushing through as well!
