Old Town Star Staff News

April 11th through April 22nd

Our ROCK STAR of the WEEK is...

Name: Kerrie Bennett

Current Gig: Ed Assist/Office

Personal Life: My family and I moved to RR in Feb of 2014. My husband Mike is the Risk Manager for the City of RR. Our oldest daughter Taylor is back in KS with her husband Cody and our grandson Garrett who is one year old. We have 2 sons still at home, Cooper is in the 7th grade at Walsh and Preston is in the 4th grade at OTE. We love RR and are very happy here. I started in FCC last year and when my current position opened I applied for and got it. I love what I do and I love OTE students and staff!

One word to describe yourself and why: Happy. I'm just a generally positive person and enjoying life to the fullest.

Most interesting job: I worked for Sprint Corporate for 10 years as a program manager and that was always interesting!
Favorite hobbies away from school: I love to read, swim and chill with my family. I like to knit, too but don't do it as much as I used to! We love to bowl too!

Favorite song: I have to pick ONE? "Well Done" Moriah Peters

If I wasn't at Old Town, I'd..: Probably be at another elementary school.
