Our Learning Targets

Reading: We can write a summary for a non-fiction text. We can identify the author's purpose and explain the difference between a stated and implied purpose.

Writing: We can write an expository piece that includes combined sentences and transitions.

Social Studies: We can summarize reasons for European exploration and settlement of the Western Hemisphere.

Math: We can determine if two given fractions are equivalent using a variety of methods. We can compare fractions using comparison symbols.

Science: We can predict how changes in the ecosystem affect the food web, including the effect of invasive species, changes to the habitat, and effects of humans. We can explore how structures and functions enable organisms to survive in their environment.
