Teen Tech Week: DIY @ Your Library

Celebrate high tech and low tech creating and crafting!

Come Celebrate Teen Tech Week with Us: Everyone Learns Together!

Teen Tech Week is when libraries make the time to showcase all of the great nonprint resources and services that are available to teens and their families. This year celebrate with the “DIY @ your library” theme during YALSA’s Teen Tech Week March 9-15, 2014. We have some awesome low tech and high tech activities planned---please come join us during your lunch/guided study period (4, 5, or 6) to have some fun and learn something new!

To participate, please see Ms. Lund or Ms. Hamilton for a ticket. We'll review the check-in procedures with you when we issue you your ticket for the sessions you want to attend! You can attend during your lunch, your guided study, or stay for the entire period (we don't mind if you eat lunch and tinker with us in the library)! Check out the schedule and resources below!

Friday, March 14: 3D Printing Extravaganza!!!

Join us as our friends from the Gwinnett County Public Library spend the day with us during the lunch periods and show off their new 3D Makerbot printer! Learn about 3D printing technology and how it is changing people's lives for the better as a medium for creative expression, design thinking, and problem solving across all career fields and industries. The session will include a brief overview of 3D printing and live demonstrations. You do NOT want to miss this session!
