Werner Weekly
November 20, 2020
Note from Mr. Camp
Staff were hard at work preparing for the shift back to remote learning this week. We appreciate all that you are doing to support and encourage your child as we make this shift again. Our staff will communicate about next steps with Phase 1: Remote Learning, so check with your child's teacher with any other questions. You can stay updated about Phase 1 Details for Werner at this site.
Thanks to all those that donated to our annual Meals that Matter. Over $1600 was raised to support 16 families with a Thanksgiving meal. A BIG "Thank You" goes to Tracee Carcasson (PTA) and Julie Flemister (Werner Counselor) for all their work in this project. Stay tuned for more details about The Giving Tree in the coming weeks.
On Monday, we will introduce the Scholastic Virtual Book Fair. This is a great time to do some holiday shopping and Werner will receive benefits from the proceeds. The sale will run from Nov. 23-Dec. 6.
Since next week is shorter, we will not have another Werner Weekly until Dec. 4. I hope you each have a blessed and restful Thanksgiving with your family.
Sincerely,
Hayden

Note from the Library
Dear Parents!
Due to us going back to remote learning, library checkout will return to the system that was implemented at the beginning of the school year. K-2 has not been using that system, and their reserves have been deleted, as they are getting in-person library checkout. So new choices will need to be made.
There are still some overdue books out there, please make your best effort to return those books, so you can make new choices. It also allows others to check out the book that you have. In the case that the book is lost, please make payment to Werner Elementary either via check or SchoolPay. If you do find the book return in and your money will be returned to you.
Just to remind you of the process:
You will use the school library to do online reservations. If you have forgotten, the link to those directions is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nZUHovFB5-my_7ZMr3JkpVT_0svtT-57/view
You can select up to 5 books, please make at least 3 selections.
You will turn in & pick up new books on Fridays, during your time to pick up materials from your class
Reasons you may not have a book to puck up:
· You have an overdue book
· You have only made once choice
If there are any questions, don’t hesitate to email me at mseavey@psdschools.org.
Thanks for being such amazing parents!
