What is it?
A monitor is the screen of a computer. Another term for display screen. The term monitor, however, usually refers to the entire box, whereas display screen can mean just the screen. In addition, the term monitor often implies graphics capabilities.
You plug the video into the monitor which is connected to the computer hard drive
Who invented it first?
Allen B. Dumont was the first to invent the computer screen (cathode ray tube.), but it was black and white. In 1920. Mark Dean was the second to invent the screen but in colour. This was in 1957.
