Girls on the Run
“GIRLS ON THE RUN” REGISTRATION “Girls on the Run” of Northwest Indiana is excited to announce open registration for the Spring 2014 season! Registration is now officially open
for all of the sites and will be open until Monday, February 17th. “Girls on the Run” is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd through 8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. Registration will be online through our website, www.gotrofnwi.org. Simply click on the “Register here for our Spring 2014 Program!” This will take you to the registration process through Race Planner. Once there, review the sites available on the side of the page. Click on “Category” to find your site! The 10-week season begins the week of March 3rd and runs through the week of May 19th. Our celebratory Spring “Girls on the Run 5K” will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 10am at the Highland High School track with a 5K run through the Highland, Indiana community. Please contact Mrs. Berger at mberger@hanover.k12.in.us or Mrs. Walley at mwalley@hanover.k12.in.us if you have any questions.
