Classroom News

Happy new year everyone! We have been busy this past week setting goals and resolutions for ourselves this year. Please ask your child about what their resolution is and how they are working to accomplish it. We spoke a lot about how you can't just say what you want to get better at and it magically happens; you have to work on it and think about it!

We are on our last week in our poetry unit and will begin nonfiction soon!

We are trying to wrap up subtracting with regrouping but we still have a bit more to do! So we will work on money at the same time! Counting groups of change and bills is a skill that is easily practiced at home!

My students now have access to the website www.raz-kids.com with their own account! This is an awesome website for reading practice. Please feel free to access it at home. Simply click on "student log-in" and you will be prompted to enter a teacher username. Mine is Brittanycolabrese. Then students can click on their name and type in their password (lunch number).
