Announcements and Reminders (repeated information is in Italics)

  • 9-1-1 Calls. If you or a student accidentally or on purpose calls 9-1-1 please call the office immediately to let us know. Anytime a 9-1-1 calls comes from our school an alert is immediately sent to central office. We need to be aware here so we can respond adequately. Obviously if it is a real emergency and you can't call we will come investigate.
  • STAAR testing is on March 29th and 30th. All teachers will eat in the cafeteria with their students on these days. We are going to place a sign-up sheet in the office for those that aren't testing to bring food so we can have food available and no one has to worry about bringing lunch, etc. Thanks for helping with this!
  • Volunteer Appreciation: Volunteer Appreciation week is the week of April 11th. We will be coordinating a breakfast and special time for our volunteers.
  • SCANTRON SCANNING: This responsibility will switch over to Michelle Cate after spring break. Michelle will have a basket at her desk for you to turn in scantrons. Please be timely in turning in your scantrons. This is very much utilized in planning many things both at the campus and the district level.
  • Summer Professional Learning: We were given an outline in principal's meeting of the summer professional learning. There will be several dates for you to attend so that you can work around vacations, etc. Also, there will be required training for you to attend. More information will be coming on this but please begin to look at your calendars for June and beginning of August.
  • Field Trips: Please make sure that your field trips are on the school calendar with Julie Woolly. If you do not see those listed in the important dates, it is not posted to the calendar.
  • Kindergarten Round-Up is April 7th. We will need several volunteers to help with Kinder Round-Up this year as we will be using a different format than in past years. Please let Julie Woolly know if you are available to assist with this event. It will be from 6-8, helpers would need to be here at 5:30.

Cullins Staff Members Being AWESOME!!

  • Carrie Hartsell: CLP Art Night was so awesome!!! We had a HUGE crowd of people here to see all the wonderful art work that kids have been doing! Also, Carrie worked really hard with the company doing the keepsakes to get costs to affordable rates so our tornado families would have some good affordable keepsakes. Thanks Carrie
  • Patrick McClendon: The 4th grade program with Texas songs was really cute. We all did the Cotton Eyed Joe at the end of the program!
  • Kinder and 1st Grade: Thank for committing your instructional focus on informational writing. It was lots of fun hearing about the stories the students wrote in PLCs this week.
  • 4th grade: FABULOUS job in your first week of writing rotations with your students!
  • Rachelle Rose: Thanks for changing your schedule around to help celebrate a grant presentation for Mrs. Brown in the library.
  • Cynthia Johnson: Your hard work and organization made TELPAS testing a complete success!!! Thanks!!!!

Happy Friday Cullins Friends!

I hope you have all had a great week!!! It has been a rough one for me! This time change has rocked my world this week!!

Remember that STAAR testing is coming up week after next. Please make sure that you are putting in your newsletters about closed campuses and that no visitors can be here during the school days.

I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend! Tonight Jack and Jill are going "up the hill" to Dallas on a date. (It's really down the hill but it sounded funny) Hoping to get some sun time if it's warm enough this weekend.

Including a funny to you all in the video this week. This guy cracks me up!!!

Have a great weekend!!!

Go out and BE AWESOME!!!

Pay attention principals.
