UPCOMING EVENTS
- Attention to 7th Grade Parents: A recent audit has found several students are missing the required documents for school enrollment. Please check to see if your student has brought home a letter from the health unit requesting copies of missing requirements. These records are needed ASAP.
SPORTS
- BCMS Boys Basketball teams need to report to the gym after 5th Bell today to pick up uniforms. There will be No practice today.
- Congratulations to the 8th Grade Ladycats Basketball team on their victory at West Carter last night versus Morgan County. The Ladycats will be in action at West Carter again on Thursday, October 10, versus Lewis County this is for tournament champs. Good Luck Ladycats!!!
- BCMS Football Wildcats will be in action at home on Thursday, October 10, at home versus Rowan County at 6:00 pm, this is also 8th Grade Night.

SCHOOL NEWS
- Ms. Moriarity will NOT be able to stay for tutoring today.
- Academic Team will meet on Thursday, October 10. You may go to the cafeteria on 5th Bell to eat before the practice.
- Spirit Week is October 7-11 which is next week. The more student and teachers that participate the better! There will also be a Window decorating contests. Decorate your windows so everyone will see your spirit! Winning class gets Ale-8.
- Thursday, October 10: Hawaii Day Grab your grass skirts and lei's.
- Friday, October 11: Color War Day 6th Grade wears White, 7th Grade wears Black, 8th Grade wears Red
- Snack Attack Drive is all this week. Bring in non perishable snack items to help support the YSC backpack program. See the flyers for snack ideas! Beta students can get up to 3 hours. 1 hour for every 10 items brought in. The homeroom with the most snacks brought in, will get pizza!
- Archery will meet again on October 14, 2019.
- The 2nd bus for the 8th Grade DC trip has been started. We have about 30 seats to fill. If you want to go and haven't made your deposit see Mrs. Beth McNabb. Also, if there are parents wanting to go, they can start making their deposits at this time.
- The 2019 Bath County Youth Basketball Developmental League is beginning registration. This is open for 6th Grade students only. There is a fee of $40.00 and forms and payment may be picked up and turned in at the front office. You may also turn at Citizens Bank Lobby on the following Wednesday, October 9th.
- The 6th Grade field trip is October 16, 2019. We will be going to KY Down Under. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Dennis at lesley.dennis@bath.kyschools.us.
- STLP is offering a technology Help desk for teachers, staff, and students who need help with technology issues. Teachers and staff please check your email for a form that you can fill out anytime you need tech help.
- Any Beta Student interested in running for club offices, please sign up outside Ms. Ballman's door. Beta service hours log sheets are also available outside Ms. Ballman's door. Remember you need 15 hours to stay in Beta.
- Halloween Hustle 5K Night Race (run/walk) will be on Saturday, October 19, from 4:30-6:30 pm at BCHS. This is a fundraiser for the Cross Country team. If interested contact Robin Tolle 606-674-6325 ext. 4303 or 606-674-8868 or email at robin.tolle@bath.kyschools.us Thanks for your support.
