Please remind students to review their semester 2 schedules in StudentVue to make sure they know where to report for UARA on Monday!
Semester Two Non-Negotiables
Failing Grades: If a student is failing your class, you must contact the parent and have dialogue with them about the problem while offering suggested solutions. You must offer extra help to students and make this known to parents. After contacting the parents, if the problem persists, you should bring up the student during Student Solutions. It is not acceptable to wait until the student is failing beyond recovery to address the concern.
Student Supervision: Students must be attended at all times. If a student is scheduled in your class, you are responsible for their supervision. They should not be left unsupervised in classrooms and should not be in hallways during class time without a pass.
Grade Updates: By contract, you must update grades in Synergy at least every two weeks. Parents do use this tool and they contact me when grades are not updated in a timely fashion.
Puzzles: Crossword puzzles should not be used during class time. They can be used as homework review. Word searches should not be used at all.
If you have questions about any of these things, please see me.

Perfect Attendance (Staff)
Perfect Attendance (Students)
On February 7th students with perfect attendance for Marking Period 2 will receive a reward for their accomplishment. They will be allowed to wear a hat and receive a treat at lunch.
In order to take part in these activities, students will need to have a coupon with them. Prior to February 6th you will receive these coupons in your box. The coupons will already be divided up by first period classes and will include the student's name. On February 6th please pass these coupons out to appropriate students during period 1. Dave and Erika will make announcements at lunch making students aware of the upcoming reward.
