- Catholicism is the most predominant
- Clothing in France is known for high-end fashion houses such as Dior, Hermes, or Chanel
Colonization
The last battle was the French and Indian war which resulted in dissolution of France with Canada going to Britain. The French and Indian war was mainly fought on the frontiers of New France and the British colonies with some allies from the American Indians.
Push and Pull factors
Pull- French wanted to come to The US because of the vast wealth from the newly discovered Americas. Also they were interested in trade.
Push- Americans did not want them because they spoke French. They where strange to the Americans because even though they looked like them they spoke a different language. They also needed to find work.
Evidence of culture in Texas
Evidence would be restaurants, shops and food. A restaurant that is really popular in Texas would be La Madeleine.
Sensory feast
Croissant rolls - French are known for their baked croissant rolls and they are very popular. They are usually made from yeast and added butter! Yum!

He intended to found the colony at the mouth of the Mississippi River, but inaccurate maps and navigational errors, caused his ships to anchor 400 miles west. The colony faced numerous difficulties during there existence, including native Americans, epidemics,and harsh conditions.
