Hudson Hawk Band Updates

Week of 4/20/2020 - E-Learning Week 5

Take Some Time to Laugh and Smile

Quick Update

With school officially being completed virtually for the rest of the school year, we are sad and really missing our band family! We are thinking of all of you and hope that you are all staying safe and healthy.

We will be sending updates about turning in school owned instruments and other band supplies (like uniforms) in the very near future as we will be sending them all to be professionally cleaned this summer. Be on the lookout for information about the dates and times we will be at school collecting those materials.

Audition preparation is well underway and we cannot wait to see how our students have risen to this challenge and really pushed themselves to improve on their own. We have been loving the scale submissions and the SmartMusic assignments we have listened to. It is wonderful to hear these students continuing to make beautiful music - we just wish we got to be together to do it!

If you have questions or need help with an assignment, you can contact us through email daily from 10am-12pm to receive a quick response. We are checking emails and responding to messages in Google classroom throughout the day, so please don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything at all!

We are still planning to award our students with Scale Master trophies and certificates, Rhythm Rocker certificates, and Outstanding Musician plaques as we would any other year. That will look a little different this year, but we always want to reward our very hard-working students for their growth and accomplishments this year! Stay tuned!

We are also beginning to work on our calendar of events for 2020-2021 and have some exciting things planned for you. We will share when it is completed and can't wait to see you next year!!!

**8th graders, we will plan something to celebrate you and say goodbye as soon as we are able. We will miss you so much!**
