Quill provides free writing, grammar, and vocabulary activities to middle and high school students. Quill is a is a free, web-based tool that provides personalized, interactive writing and grammar activities. Quill currently focuses on English grammar. Students learn grammar skills by writing sentences and proofreading passages.

NCTM Illuminations
Illuminations is a project designed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and supported by the Verizon Foundation. NCTM serves as a content partner for Thinkfinity, the Verizon Foundation's free online professional learning community, where Illuminations is the primary contributor of resources for teaching and learning mathematics for grades pre-K—12.
Concetpua Math
Conceptua Math is a provider of interactive visual mathematics lessons.Conceptua Math's primary focus is on the development of tools to aid teachers in the instruction of lessons on fractions. Each of the free tools has an introductory video and a sample lesson plan.

Timeline JS
TimelineJS is an open-source tool that enables anyone to build visually rich, interactive timelines. Beginners can create a timeline using nothing more than a Google spreadsheet. Experts can use their JSON skills to create custom installations, while keeping TimelineJS's core functionality.
Hip Hughes History
Video lesson producer extraordinaire, Keith Hughes, seems to have started to produce a new series of videos for students of U.S. History and Government. The new series provides one minute overviews of big topics in history and government.
icivics
The iCivics games place students in different civic roles and give them agency to address real-world problems and issues. They are rooted in clear learning objectives and integrated with lesson plans and support materials.
iCivics curriculum is grouped into topical units that align to state and Common Core standards.
Science Tech Tools
PhET Interactive Simulations
PhET provides fun, free, interactive, research-based science and mathematics simulations. We extensively test and evaluate each simulation to ensure educational effectiveness. These tests include student interviews and observation of simulation use in classrooms. The simulations are written in Java, Flash or HTML5, and can be run online or downloaded to your computer. All simulations are open source (see our source code). Multiple sponsors support the PhET project, enabling these resources to be free to all students and teachers.
