Gardner Edgerton School District takes great pride in our comprehensive mentoring and new teacher induction program. The program is designed to successfully transition new educators into the district and provide continued support the for the development of highly qualified, dedicated and reflective practitioners. New educators will receive on-going individualized mentoring support from our district mentors along with monthly professional development opportunities.
New Teacher Induction
First and second-year teachers participate in monthly professional development sessions that offer differentiated on-going support and learning opportunities. Content and focus topics for learning sessions are based on instructional constructs that promote masterful teaching and professional practices. Job-embedded professional learning opportunities provide application of strategies to maximize collaborative support and learning.
