This is the periodic newsletter of the Franklin County High School Library. It contains information that teachers may find helpful and is the primary means of communication about what is happening at the FCHS Library.
What services does the FCHS library offer you?
- Assistance with research
- Use of a larger area to bring your class for projects
- Ordering videos, books and other materials
- Book Talks for your students
- Laminating
- Compiling information from websites, research databases, and ebooks for your class
- Library orientation to freshmen English and other interested classes
- Color copying
Josh Bleill will visit FCHS!
On Friday, October 9th, author and Colts spokesperson, Josh Bleill will be speaking to the FCHS students at 1:30 in the auditorium. Book of the Month
You can participate too!
Teachers, we would love you to help us with our Book of the Month discussions. Each month we highlight a different book. At the end of the month, we discuss the book and other books during lunch. Students bring their Lunch to the Library. Please join us! We'd love to have you!

Resources for Reading Comprehension
The Common Core State Standards recommends 12th graders reading 70% informational text and 30% literary text. I have compiled a list of resources below to assist you in finding digital informational text. Of course, you may also get informational texts from the library.
