HIES Faculty Summer Reading 2016
#trustthejourney
Why summer reading? Why "Whistling Vivaldi?"
To connect and further our community work around inclusivity, this summer "Whistling Vivaldi" is offered to help us reflect on and engage in conversation around our understanding of ourselves and others. When we return in August, we will share our reflections and takeaways in small groups facilitated by colleagues.
Where do I get a copy of the book?
All faculty should pick up a copy of the book at the front desk of their respective division on either May 26 or 27.
What else do I need to do?
When we meet together in August, one way we will share our learning will be to use the thinking routine - Sentence-Phrase-Word, so it may help to use post-it notes to capture your initial thoughts as you read.
If you like social media, you could also share your takeaways as you read this summer and tweet at #HILearns.
