TRIMESTER III AWARDS CEREMONY
THE 2019/20 ONE BOOK, ONE SCHOOL
The 2019-2020 One Book, One School book has been selected and announced to the students this week. Students this summer will be reading the book, Eleven, by Tom Rogers. It is a historical fiction novel about a boy who turns 11 on September 11th. This book as described by Good Reads, "This is a story about bullies and heroes. About tragedy and hope. About enemies with two legs and friends with four, and pesky little sisters and cranky old men, and an unexpected lesson in kindness delivered with a slice of pizza."
FBMS and the Literacy Committee are excited to read about an event in our history - although tragic - helped to bring our country together. FBMS will be rallying around that theme, Stronger Together, as we guide students through this book and looking at this event in history.

GRAD NIGHT LIVE PUBLIC VIEWING
With graduation approaching for Marshfield High School seniors this Saturday, June 8, the Grad Nite Live Committee is in their final preparations for the annual all-night celebration. Starting on Friday, many volunteers from across town, including many of our students, will help with the preparations involved in transforming MHS into a fun and festive place to celebrate.
On Saturday June 8, from 7-9 pm at MHS, Grad Nite Live will hold a public viewing for all except our graduating seniors. Come see how MHS has been transformed into a place of celebration for our seniors to spend one last time all together. Each year, Grad Nite Live draws nearly the entire graduating class into the high school starting at 11 pm for a night full of entertainment chock full of activities, music, dancing, movies, games and food.
The event began 23 years ago as a community gift to the graduating class as a way to provide a fun, safe environment to celebrate graduation, free of alcohol and drugs. There are hundreds of people who get involved to make this event happen every year including parents, artists, local businesses, restaurants and many more. This is an extraordinary community that cares about our kids!
We hope you’ll join us at MHS for the Grad Nite Live public viewing on Saturday June 8 from 7-9 pm.
The Grad Nite Live Steering Committee
P.S. Remember, graduates are not allowed at the public viewing. They are invited to come back to the school at 11 pm when their celebration begins!
