How We Express Ourselves at Talley
As an IB candidate school, our students work through six Units of Inquiry throughout the school year. In Term 4, all grade levels worked on their How We Express Ourselves unit. Our wonderful Specials teachers used this unit of inquiry as an opportunity to showcase the students' hard work. Next week this work will be showcased through a special website that will include images, videos and explanations of How We Express Ourselves in Spanish, Music, P.E, and Art. Be on the lookout for the link in next Thursday's newsletter. We hope you enjoy!
Thank you, Talley families!

Recorders for Music
Hello Students and Parents!
I am so excited to announce we will begin learning about and playing recorders very soon! I know many students already have recorders, but if you do not have a recorder or you would like to have an extra one for home and keep one at school or just simply want a new one, please fill out the order form below. Recorders will be used as a fun way to learn a beginner instrument, learning notes on the treble staff, reading rhythms and notes, ensemble playing, ear training and eye coordination. The list goes on and on! The student book for home practice is optional and comes with all the songs and music. I encourage those students who show interest and desire to learn and master to have this at home.
To order, please fill out the form with secured payment attached and return to your child’s homeroom teacher no later than Friday March 18. Checks should be made to Talley Street Elementary School and in the memo section student name and the word recorder please.
Email me with any questions. tjessup@csdecatur.net
