Mrs. Abram's Good Things
Smith Public Library LAMB Young Author's Reception
Dear Parnets,
We will begin working hard to create or improve one to two books next week and I will be delivering the books to the library on Friday March 24
The L.A.M.B. program allows kids to create their own original books that they write and illustrate, and is for grades 5 and under.
All of the books will be given a library bar code, a "Property Of" sticker, and will be available for checkout by library patrons. They can either pick up their books to keep at our reception (or at the library after the reception), or they can choose to donate their book to use for future use in the program.
The reception is a chance for the kids and their families to come and mingle and enjoy refreshments, and all of our "young authors" will also be set up at tables where they will be autographing bookmarks for their adoring fans.
There will be both a Tuesday and a Thursday reception this year, but parents MUST GO ONLINE AND REGISTER for one of the receptions. We will be turning people away at the door this year if they have not registered. It got a little overwhelming last year and we had nearly two dozen guests show up that we were not expecting.
Attendees and their guest must register for one of the dates online in order to attend the reception.
Up to four quests per author are welcome!
Registration opens on May 1st.
The end date will be Saturday May 13th.
