Change of Dismissal Information
Changing Dismissal Method -- If a student has a need to leave the school in a manner different from his/her normal routine, it will be necessary for the student to bring a “Change of Dismissal” form from the student’s parent/guardian to the classroom teacher. This should be sent prior to the date of need or immediately upon arrival to school the day of the change. Change of Dismissal forms are provided on the Findley Oaks webiste or can be requested from the classroom teacher at any time. Please remember bus changes will be made on an emergency basis only.
If there is a need to change your child’s dismissal during the school day, please send an email to 160-DismissalFOE@fultonschools.org. Emails to the teachers and phone calls will not be accepted. Change of dismissal will not be accepted after 2:00 pm.
Carpool Procedures
- Display your Pickup number on passenger side visor.
- Drop off is from 7:10 am-7:40 am.
- There will not be any early drop off.
- Dismissal is at 2:20 pm.
- Please drive slowly and do not pass other vehicles.
- Stay inside your vehicle.
- Do not use your cell phone while picking up/dropping off students.
- Children must enter and exit on the right side of the vehicle.
- If you arrive after 7:40 AM, please park your car and escort your child to the front door. While we are phasing into all face to face a staff member will buzz your child and sign them in tardy.
- There will be NO alternative carpool while we are phasing in to face to face. All carpool riders MUST use the front carpool lane.
- If your child requires assistance in getting out of the vehicle, please park and escort him or her to the front door.
Health Reminders
In effort to keep our students and staff healthy and safe, we want to share a few reminders:
- Students will be expected to wear a face covering/mask while at school. Staff are also required to wear face coverings.
- If your child is sick, please keep them at home and make sure they are fever free for at least 24 hours before return.
- If anyone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19 and you have been advised to isolate or quarantine, please adhere to the public health guidance and do not send your student to school until after the noted timeframe.
- Encourage your student to wash hands frequently.
- If your child becomes sick while at school, you will be expected to be pick-up your child immediately.
- Please alert school administration of any COVID-19 related concerns.
Additionally, please contact your healthcare provider/pediatrician if your child has potential symptoms of COVID-19 and seek further guidance before they return to school. Please share any updates with our school clinic. Common signs and symptoms of COVID-19 include: fever, fatigue, headache, muscle ache/pain, cough, nasal congestion, new loss of taste or smell and sore throat.
Fulton County Schools has developed protocols and procedures to respond to COVID-19 related cases and concerns. The district will continue to work in collaboration with our local and state public health officials and follow the appropriate guidance.

The YMCA will begin the after school program when we return to F2F-target date 10/15.

- David Applegate- The Instructional Support Teacher (IST) coordinates programs and service delivery for special education students. He coordinates educational testing for students who are referred for special education services. Parents with questions about the special education process should contact the IST for information. applegated@fultonschools.org
- Cindy Lamb-The Assistant Principal who oversees student information (Infinite Campus, Parent Portal), grading, standardized testing, discipline. lamb@fultonschools.org
- Kate Hernandez-The School Counselor works with school personnel to foster a positive learning environment for children. The counselor assists parents in understanding children and in developing positive attitudes, techniques, and strategies essential for constructive child rearing. The counselor assists parents and children in obtaining special school and/or community services and helps conduct the SST and testing programs. hernandezk@fultonschools.org

FoodStop Information
Drive Up Food Stop now at FINDLEY OAKS!!
Starts Wednesday September 23 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM
Thank you for your continued support with the Fulton County FoodStop Meal Distribution. FoodStop Meal Distribution Sites will continue to be utilized to distribute FREE meals throughout the district.
Fulton County provides FREE meals! Until further notice, Fulton County is able to provide FREE meals to all children under the age of 18, or under the age of 21 for youth with special needs, at all FoodStop Meal Distribution Sites.
Did you know free & reduced-price meal applications benefit your family and your school?! Even though all students will receive free meals, households still need to complete free & reduced meal applications every school year. If there is an interruption in benefits or the household does not reapply, the household is responsible for payment of meals until the application is approved.
- Free & Reduced Meal Applications are available online for the 2020-2021 school year. Visit www.fulton.schoollunchapp.com to begin the online application process.
FCS FoodStop Meal Distribution Sites provides an opportunity for families to receive FREE grab & go meal kits for all children 18 & under. Each meal kit will contain 10 meals - 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches - to feed students until the next meal kit distribution. Meal kits will include items that can be reheated at home. Meal safety, reheating instructions, and a menu will be provided in meal kits.
· The FoodStop Drive-Thru provides an opportunity for families to drive-up and pick up grab & go meal kits for all children 18 & under.
o To maximize social distancing, drivers are not to leave their vehicles; however, walk-ups are allowed.
o FCS FoodStop Drive-Thru sites are open Wednesdays only from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

District COVID-19 Updates
Interested in Joining Cub Scouts?
Findley Oaks families with students in grades K-5 are invited to join Cub Scout Pack 1143!
Our fall calendar is full of activities including pack and den meetings that incorporate virtual tools and social distancing to keep children safe while still learning and having fun.
We are hopeful that Covid 19 conditions will improve by spring and that we will be able to participate in our normal scouting activities like the Pinewood Derby, our Big Trip to the USS Yorktown in Charleston and the Spring Campout.
