Please use this link throughout the year to record any donors and partnerships. If you have guest speakers to your classroom, please record the activity. Recording this information is an important piece of our accountability. Doing it on an ongoing basis works much better than trying to catch up at the end of the year!!
IMPORTANT PROCEDURAL INFORMATION FOR DISMISSAL
Procedures for students who are not picked up from dismissal by 3:00:
- 1. Teacher on duty escorts students to the office.
- 2. Look up phone numbers in the notebook, being mindful of different area codes. Please remember that changes in the phone systems across the area require that an area code is used to dial most numbers. In many cases, it is necessary to dial a 1 before the area code. Be sure to check those options before deciding a number is not working. If you cannot find working phone numbers in the notebook, see Nurse Teresa to check the pink card for more information.
- 3. Call the parent and get information about who is coming and how long it might be before the child will be picked up.
- 4. Write the child’s name and the information regarding pick up on the clipboard provided in the office.
- 5. Inform the child and the office personnel of the contact prior leaving the office.
- 6. Any person picking up a child from the office must be verified using their id compared to names on the registration form as an authorized person to pick up the child. A teacher or office personnel must verify this id. If you have any questions regarding authorization, check with office personnel.
- 7. A teacher or office staff must ensure that the authorized person picking up the student signs the child out on the designated notebook in the office.
These are not changes, but simply clarifications to ensure common understanding to ensure student safety.
