Reminders & News
- Make sure to read The Exchange for district news and information
- Here is the link for the morning announcements, which begin daily at 8:00 a.m.
- Make sure to nominate kids for the P2P Learner Award (2 per teacher per 9 week period).
- TELPAS Calendar - Calibration sessions have been added to Eduphoria Workshop under “TELPAS Monitored Calibration Session;” raters should enroll for Set #1 and not Set #2 (Set #2 is for second attempt only). Devi will follow up with an email soon.
- Workplace: You should have received an email inviting you to Workplace, which is the new tool the district (and our campus) will be using for staff communication. Please accept the invitation and I will follow up with more information once I learn more about the service.
- Referrals: Please be sure to email all admin when you submit a discipline referral. As a reminder, we do not receive an alert when one is submitted so we will not know unless you email us.
- Really cool free tool: Check out this cool free tool to help you with your daily classroom operations. It has a noise meter, random name tool, stoplight, working reminders, timer, etc. Plus it has really cool backgrounds (including a live fire GIF)!
- Remember to sign up to bring something for our "Souper Bowl" Luncheon on 2/1!
- Lexia Core5: Please remember that students are required to meet their weekly usage goals in Lexia. Currently only 45% of our students campus wide are doing so. This is a required program so please make time in learning stations, WIN, or during morning work, and also consider sending home login information again for use at home.
- Due to a scheduling conflict, our 4th quarter planing days have been rescheduled. Mary has entered substitute requests for the week of March 18-25. HERE is the schedule. Please note that due to the district limiting the availability of subs, self-contained teachers have been assigned to plan with only one subject area instead of both.
Personalized Learning Brief PD
HERE is a Pinterest board with some great examples of learning intentions and success criteria.
Fire Marshal Common Findings
- All fabric should be fire-treated and labeled. Labels must be current as of 2018 or 2019. If you have multiple panels of fabric, each must be labeled.
- 3D bulletin boards in hallways should be removed.
- Items hanging from the ceiling are allowed, but should be hanging on fishing line/twine instead of yarn or any other fabric-type string.
- Bulletin board displays in hallways should not have colorful paper background, as it exceeds the 20% rule. Stick with just some fun border and the actual decorations/student work.
- Ensure rugs are not covering cords, even if they have a cord cover.
- Chromebook carts stored in hallways should have their doors closed so that they do not take up too much space.
