Principal's Message

Dear Families,

I look forward to welcoming you to our Back to School Night this evening. Please check your email after 5 p.m. for a link to presentations from our classroom teachers, specialists and more. I expect you will walk away with a wealth of information about this unique year of learning ahead.

I also hope you'll consider joining me for our rescheduled First Friday Principal Coffee on Friday at 8:30 a.m. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you (but unfortunately, the coffee's on your own this time).

Jeff LaBroad

Virtual Back to School Night TONIGHT

The Sudbury Public Schools will host virtual Back to School Nights on Thursday, October 8. The materials distributed will give parents the opportunity to learn more about our classrooms and what teaching and learning will look like this year. Presentations will not be live, and you'll have access to the material through the weekend to allow plenty of time to check it out.

RESCHEDULED: First Friday Principal Coffee TOMORROW

Please join Mr. LaBroad for the first First Friday Principal Coffee of the year, TOMORROW, Friday, October 9 at 8:30 a.m. via Google Meet: meet.google.com/dyc-xsuk-nug. This open forum will be a great opportunity for you to share wins, challenges and questions with us. Joining Mr. LaBroad will be Assistant Principal Cara Blanchette, Literacy Specialist Megan Ring, Math Coach Julie Whitehead and School Counselor Veronica Rogers.

Reminders from the Front Office

  • Parents are required to call the absentee/tardy line to notify the school of all absences and/or tardy occurrences. This is required for in-person AND remote learning days.
  • Students are required to be signed onto their device at the beginning of their first morning session. If a student is not signed in when their teacher initiates their morning session, students will be marked absent or tardy (if they arrive late). Please notify the office and your child's teacher whenever a student will not be present, similar to if a student were to be dismissed for part of the day. We will work to coordinate students who arrive late.
  • Parents dismissing their students early on a remote learning day should send notification of the dismissal to haynes_office@sudbury.k12.ma.us
  • Please do not send in paper notes for changes in dismissals and/or communication to the school. All notes from home should be e-mailed to haynes_office@sudbury.k12.ma.us

In order to help us understand what is working and where the challenges lie, we are asking all families to complete a feedback survey. Please complete the survey once for each child you have in the district in order to capture their unique experience. The survey will close on October 13th. The survey can be accessed here and on the district website.

Thank You, SERF!
