The LCISD CTE Mission

The mission of Career and Technical Education in the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District is to educate students by providing rigorous curriculum and technical skills through real world, hands-on learning, thus preparing them for the challenges of evolving career environments and opportunities.

February is CTE Month!

At its January meeting, the Lamar CISD Board of Trustees passed a resolution proclaiming February as Career and Technical Education Month in Lamar CISD. To read more, click here.

Blue Track

Graphic Design & Illustration II students from Lamar CHS recently received validation of their hard work of the past two and a half years. Click here to read more.

Red Track

Terry High School’s Education Department is always on the go! Each week, the Rangers Education Department travels to Ray Elementary in the mornings and Meyer Elementary in the afternoons. The curriculum provides students with site-based training and provides them with hands-on experiences in a “real-world” setting. Click here to read more.

Gold Track

In November, Foster High School’s Furious Falcons FIRST Robotics and Technology Student Association (TSA) president Michael Buford and vice president Carson Perkins, delivered a phenomenal interactive display to Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC). Click here to read more.
