Soul Café Helpful Hints
It is up to each individual if you want to set up/make coffee before service or during service (I personally feel better if I prep before service)!
**YOU HAVE TO RUN A "TEST POT" OF JUST WATER BEFORE MAKING COFFEE!!!**
Coffee (see instruction sheet in drawer under the coffee maker) typically 2 pots regular and 1 decaf.
If service looks like a “larger” crowd you can make 1 regular pot during soul café.
Treats- usually can be found on top of the soul café cart or on kitchen counter.
At times they may be located in the fridge or freezer,
but we try to let you know if that is the case.
Juice, Milk, & Coffee can be brought to the gathering area on a cart from the kitchen.
You can serve coffee from carafes located underneath island in the kitchen.
Napkins, stirrers, cups, etc should be in the soul café cart. Please make sure the sugar, sweet n low, stirrers, powdered creamer, and napkins are on top of soul café cart to be easily accessible. If something is low you can look in the back kitchen pantry. If you notice something is empty or running low please let Mary or Camilla know.

UMCOR SUNDAY: Sunday, March 31st
When You Give You Equip Christ’s Body to Serve in His Name. That’s because your generous giving to UMCOR is what allows UMCOR to act as the arms and legs of Christ’s church, moving toward the most vulnerable in their darkest days. Convinced that all people have God-given worth and dignity—without regard to race, religion or gender—together we are assisting those impacted by crisis or chronic need. UMCOR will be able to offer aid in Jesus’ name to those who suffer because United Methodists give through UMCOR. In fact, it’s your generous giving that allows us to respond when disaster strikes.

Some of the responsibilities include locking and unlocking the doors before and after worship as well as browsing the hallways during worship and keeping an eye out for late attendees who need let in after services have started.
If you would be interested in volunteering as a property monitor OR are interested in learning more about this volunteer role, please contact Randy Juskiv (370-5023) or the church office for more information.
