You can have tradegy where a play ends unhappily.
You can have comedy where a play ends happily.
Modern play
May be tradegy, comedy, or a mixture of the two.
It usually focuses on personal issues.
It is usually about ordinary people.
Modern drama
Modern playwrites often experiment with uncoventional plot structures.
-Long flashbacks
-Music
-Visual projections of a characters private thoughts
Things you need in a play
-Theatre artists
-A stage
-Scene design
-A set (props, lighting)
-Importantly you will need an audience
