Manning Morsels
Family Edition for the Week of April 26th 2021
Volunteers still needed!
Most important items to remember:
This will not be a typical full day so please make sure to let students know that. Our staff is amazing and will create great experiences, but we still need to follow protocols.
- Self-certification must be completed each day
- Bring extra masks
- Headphones are still needed!
- Water bottles! - label with student name
- Make sure all items are labeled with student names
- If you selected in-person for your child, zooming is ONLY an option when quarantining (vacation or sleeping in late are examples of students that will be marked unexcused).
LINDEN STREET CLOSED DURING DAY
We are going to be using the spaces outside as much as possible. Please avoid parking on Linden if you are dropping off and picking up. You may park in the alley by the chain link fence and walk to Door 2 if needed.
Lunch @ School
All students have access to a free school lunch this school year. Each morning, homeroom teachers will take their orders. There will be two choice per day with the exception of students with allergies. Lunches will be delivered to students in their lunchroom spaces. Menus will be posted on the school website when available.
Snack/Lunches
2nd - 10:30
3rd - 11:15
4th - 12:00
5th - 12:45
(4/5 will have opportunity for a snack during mask break outside)
(2/3 will evaluate the potential need for a snack in the first week)
Lunch and a Movie
Because students have little movement during this time due to our safety protocols, we will be providing students with a G rated movie during their lunch time.
8:00 AM Arrival Start and 2:00 Dismissal Start
- Arriving before 8:00 AM and definitely before 2:00 PM does not help our systems. I promise they run efficiently so please be patient in the first couple days as new families are learning the routines for the first time.
- We do not want to dismiss kids before the end of the school day. We start calling names at the bell so no need to leave your house before 2:00 PM.
- Bus routes with new times and stops were only emailed to riders.
- All students have assigned seats. New riders will receive their assigned seats at Monday's dismissal.
- If you are a bus rider, the school assumes you are riding every day unless you contact the office.
Safety Drills for this School Year will occur

With COVID protocols still in place, safety drills will be practiced in case of an emergency.
