WBSD Weekly Update
Friday, June 16
We hope you have a wonderful summer! Enjoy the time with your family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the fall!
Important Special Announcements
The West Bloomfield School District is moving to an all-online enrollment process. Each year, families will be required to log into PowerSchool and complete a Back to School Update Packet. Families will be required to do this for each child enrolled with WBSD. Families will complete forms regarding emergency information, technology, lunch forms, and other important annual school forms that require parent approval. To prepare for this, please make sure you have and know your login and password for PowerSchool. If not, contact your school for assistance, or visit https://www.wbsd.org/parents/powerschool for more information. Please make sure you check your email in July for additional details.
Thank you for your support!

WBHS in the D!
Mrs. Chase's US History students had an opportunity to attend the first-ever "Elevating Student Voices" conference at the Damon Keith Center for Civil Rights building embedded within Wayne State University's Law School. The conference was student-led and the focus was on building student voice, agency, and a sense of belonging. During the conference students engaged in small and large group discussions with students from Novi, Bentley, and Marygrove on various topics that interested them and problem solved with peers on ways to improve education.
Following the conference, the students attended a Tiger game together and had the opportunity to meet with a player. The students did an amazing job representing WBHS and lending their voices to the conversation.

West Bloomfield Baseball Team’s Memorable Season
Catcher Max Gross’ strong season is a highlight for the state-ranked West Bloomfield High School baseball team. Coach Josh Birnberg’s West Bloomfield High School baseball team experienced a season that had a little of everything. Big victories in arguably the toughest high school baseball league in the state. A season-long state ranking in Division 1. A crushing season-ending defeat. And an opportunity to play in a big-league ballpark. To read the full article in The Detroit Jewish News, click here.
Dear Laker Nation,
Athletic competitions remain an important part of the educational experience within our schools. As we prepare for the 2023-24 school year, we continue to make improvements and streamline processes for our fans and spectators.
The West Bloomfield School District will be moving to an efficient digital ticketing service, GoFan, for all home games. We strongly encourage fans and spectators to purchase home game tickets in advance to avoid delays at the gate. Tickets will be for sale at the gate through credit card payment however, we do not recommend utilizing this method as it will cause longer lines at the gate.
Cash will NOT be accepted for ticket sales; families can still use cash to purchase concessions.
To purchase tickets online, please use the following link:
WBHS - https://gofan.co/app/school/MI10121
Many of our opponents use GoFan as well. Ticket sales for away games may also be accessible through the link above.
Admission details are as follows:
Children ages 5 and under are free
West Bloomfield residents 65 years and over with a Laker Senior Gold Card, are free. Please show your Gold Card at the gate for entry. Senior Gold cards can be obtained from the WBSD Athletic Office or by calling (248) 865-6742.
Individual tickets are $5.00, plus a $1.00 service fee
Service fees are paid by the ticket purchaser. All sales are final.
Athletic Yearly Event Passes/Family Passes are available for WBSD families. The Family Pass is $100 and admits up to 4 family members into District home athletic events for that school year except for self-funded sports and MHSAA tournaments. The pass can be purchased at Jump Start or in the Athletic Office at West Bloomfield High School.
Thank you for supporting Laker Nation Athletics at West Bloomfield High School. We look forward to joining you as we cheer on our Lakers!
Go Lakers!

In 2022, Tri-County officials identified broadband availability, accessibility, and reliability as a concern. As a result, Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties have joined together to work with an experienced vendor, Merit Network, to plan and conduct a regional survey to identify availability, gaps, speed and accessibility of broadband. Please take a moment to take the survey - www.MichiganMoonshot.org/Tri-County-Broadband
