--- Agency-wide CIP Goals ---

Review, revise, and formalize a consolidated improvement plan.

What's done?

  • The articulated agency-wide CIP cycle has been finalized. View it here. (Requires esu4.net login.)

What's happening?

  • The ESU 4 Leadership Team is drafting questions a biennial survey of stakeholders focused on our tenets of communication, accountability, and leadership.
  • The ESU 4 Leadership Team is considering a fourth goal related to communication. This will begin with that group reading Better Conversations by Jim Knight as well as administration of a survey of all of us regarding communication perceptions. Watch for more this spring.
  • The Co-Chairs have drafted the narrative and action plan in the AdvancED system for our APR. (The APR is required of all AdvancED accredited institutions two years following the visit. In it, we must show evidence of progress toward the Improvement Priorities identified by the External Review team.) We plan to submit the APR later this spring.

Review, revise, and implement a formalized supervision and evaluation process.

What's done?

  • Department directors submitted job descriptions to Mr. Fisher. We now have all of the descriptions in one place! GREAT WORK, EVERYONE!

What's happening?
  • Our next step is to gather the tools (i.e., rubrics and forms) and process descriptions from all department directors. The intent is to see what exists currently.
  • After everything has been collected, a committee will be established to outline the action plan and see it through.
  • The Co-Chairs have drafted the narrative and action plan in the AdvancED system for our APR. They plan to submit it later this spring.

Design and implement an agency-wide plan that coordinates and evaluates the effectiveness of programs and services.

What done?

  • Each department has prioritized at least one project from the department action plan and began using a tool called Measuring Programs and Processes (Bernhardt, Data Analysis for Continuous School Improvement, p. 157-161).

What's happening?
  • Departments will collect appropriate data for the project and bring it to our internal data retreat in May. We will determine if this is a useful way to review programs with consistency.
  • The Co-Chairs have drafted the narrative and action plan in the AdvancED system for our APR. They plan to submit the APR later this spring.
