Writing for February 7th- March 10th
Big Idea: Children will use factual information from their own knowledge to plan and write informational and procedural texts.
I can:
•Identify topics I know about.
•Dictate/write procedural/informational text (how to).
•Spell the best I can.
•Use sentences when I write.
•Add diagrams to my writing.
•Capitalize the first word in a sentence.
•Revise my writing.
•Edit my writing.
•Create how-to books.
Math February 24th- March 10th
I can- count, read, write, and represent numbers to at least 20 with and without objects and pictures.
I can-use my knowledge of subitizing as I count, read, and represent numbers.
Recognize money
I can-recognize a dime.
Joining and separating
I can- model and solve word problems through the action of joining and separating and explain
strategies used. I will begin with concrete models and move to abstract representations when ready.
