Kendall Connection Newsletter
2019-2020 - Newsletter Week March 23-27
Upcoming News
Dear Kendall Family,
I am so grateful for your support, gratitude, and flexibility with the recent events. We are blessed to be a part of such an amazing school district and community. Thank you.
We have started online learning and see the information below for details to help us plan for future learning and let your teacher know if you will need another packet for the next week of learning.
I also miss seeing our students and families each day and I know the staff misses their students as well. Teachers are working to coordinate zoom meetings or Google hangouts with their students so they can continue to see each other and interact. I know at my house this was a highlight of the day last Friday.
The district has provided guidance as you navigate online learning and balance your own work and family responsibilities during this time. Give yourself grace and time as we transition. Keep it simple. We are in this together and are here to support your families. As the BISD letter from Teaching and Learning indicates, our goal for online learning is to reinforce and maintain the learning. Recommended time for instruction and some ideas on how to schedule your day have been suggested in the letter.
I am learning in my own house how to try and make this work and understand it will take time. Go for walks and enjoy your kids. They are such a gift and as shared earlier we miss and care for them so much. Thank you to the Kendall PTO for organizing a fun and interactive virtual spirit week this week! See below for more information. Wash your hands, stay home, and email me if we can help.
Take care,
Marshay Wolff
