Letter from the Board

It’s hard to believe that July has already come and gone. We’ve celebrated together as a community so many times in the past few months with Wannigan Days, Karl Oskar Days, Center City Days, and soon, Ki Chi Saga Days, the Threshing Show and Hay Days too.

The summer months are always busy at the chamber. We had another successful Triathlon, thanks to so many community volunteers. We welcomed 900 athletes to our community as well as their supporters. We heard positive feedback from so many of them.

“You have the best volunteers.”

“The course is beautiful.”

“Thank you for putting this together.”

Are among a few things we heard repeatedly. We couldn’t do it without the help and support from so many in our great community.

Hot off the press is the new Chisago Lakes Tourism brochure. Stop by the chamber office to pick one up if you haven’t already. This brochure is an invitation to folks outside of our community to come and visit, to stay, and to explore all that we have to offer. Thank you to the Chisago Lakes Community Foundation and Explore Minnesota for making it possible through grant dollars.

Speaking of tourism, we’d like to encourage area businesses to list any upcoming events on 3 sites. Each of these sites markets to different demographics, but they are all unique and important in their own ways.

  • Chisago Lakes Chamber Website - We are so proud to announce that we are launching our new website today. We encourage you to login to your member portal and update your bio and current events. If you don’t have a login, please email us here. Please share with us your feedback as well.
  • Chisago Lakes Visitors Bureau Website - This site is marketed to those looking to visit our area. List tourism specific events here.
  • Explore Minnesota - Offers a free listing to any business in the tourism industry. Explore Minnesota will search these listings when building their publications as well so it’s an amplified benefit to anyone utilizing this resource.

We hope to see you out and about as the final weeks of summer wrap up and as the fall arrives.

Sincerely,

Jeff Bouchee

A New COVID-19 'Vaccine Connector'

The State of MN has created a new COVID-19 “Vaccine Connector” portal to help Minnesotans find out when, where, and how to get their COVID-19 vaccine. After you fill out a simple form, the Vaccine Connector will: alert you when you are eligible to receive a vaccine; connect you to resources to schedule a vaccine appointment; and notify you if there are vaccine opportunities in your area. https://mn.gov/covid19/vaccine/connector/

Chisago County Public Health is offering regular vaccine clinics. Learn when and where you can secure a vaccine close to home here.
