January 2019: Classroom Mini-Grants
Opp #1: An Educational Technology Grant
Need new tech tools for your classroom maker-space or STEM project? Each month, Eduporium awards $500 to a classroom or school to "help educators build 21st century learning environments and equip students with the skills they need for the future." What can you buy with $500? How about these ideas:
- A couple of Sphero SPRK+
- A littleBits Code Kit
- A Squishy Circuits Group Kit

Opp #2: 2019 Gro-More Grassroots Grant
Sponsored by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation and KidsGardening, the Gro-More Grassroots Grant "provides funding for the development of new and expansion of existing youth garden programs and greenspaces." This mini-grant will provide 150 grant recipients with a check for $500 to support their garden/greenspace initiatives. The top 25 programs will receive a check for $1,000. Applications are due by February 15, 2019.
Opp #3: Active Learning Center Grant
The Steelcase Active Learning Center Grant program awards 16 grants per year for active-learning classrooms! The grant award includes funding for "furniture, design review, installation, onsite training, and a learning environment evaluation measurement tool." Educators from grades 6-12 and colleges and universities are welcome to apply. The application due date is February 1st, 2019.
