Dear Parents / Carers,
We have had another busy week in school within our bubbles. It is hard some weeks to see how we used to be able to fit visits and visitors in too but hopefully it won't be too long before we are doing that again.
Thank you to all the parents who have completed the survey on parent consultation meetings. They have provided a lot for me to consider but the majority of parents that replied wanted to have a mix of online and face to face meetings going forward so I will bear that in mind when planning for next school year.
You will have received a letter from Public Health this afternoon regarding the Covid outbreak in the Selby area. It remains important that face masks are worn on the school site unless exempt and please try to stay 2m apart from others particularly at home time when there are more people on site. Please help to keep our staff and families safe.
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams

TT Rock Stars of the Week
Lots of children have been working hard on their times tables this week. Times tables knowledge is key to lots of the learning in KS2, so it is great to see so much effort being put in at home. This week's certificates go to: Stanley J in Mars, Alexa K in Jupiter and Olivia P in Saturn.

Staff Thank You's
If anyone would like to say thank you to or has any positive comments for a member of staff then please complete and submit the form below.
With the school term now well under way, the children working hard with
their learning, spring is unfolding its wings and teasing us into
summer. Some glorious weather recently reminds us that summer is on its
way, the warmth and longer days comforting, yet in some ways sad as we
think of the many events that would be in the planning stages, that
this year sadly are not able to get off the ground due to COVID
circumstances. It has been a hard year for many charities, some have
been able to stumble forwards and embrace all the technologies, whilst
others have had to put themselves on hold. Friends were lucky that in
previous years, with some successful fundraising, there were some funds
in the bank to enable school to still be supported, however these are
being depleted and in need of replacing. The Friends committee
currently is only a small number of people and we would welcome a boost
to numbers and ideas of how to take things forward. Over the coming
newsletter publications, we will share with you the various roles and
how you could help.
Through mud it rises, through water it emerges, through sunlight it
blossoms.
