Those in need of prayer:
*Laura Rosenblum had hernia surgery this morning. Everything went well but she is in a lot of pain. They are going to keep her at the Surgery Center until they can get her pain under control.
*Dillard Sledge has begun his chemo treatments. His first treatment was on the 31st of October. He had his port put in on the 7th and his next treatment will be on the 19th.
Family & Friends:
*Bob Payne, Beverly's dad, did not have stent surgery yesterday.
He will have an MRI of his heart today to be sure that there is viable tissue in that artery for the stent to attach to. If there is good tissue then they will reschedule his stent procedure for next week. Thank you all so very much for all of your prayers and words of encouragement!
*Glenn Pruitt, brother of Madelyn Manning, has Addison's disease and is suffering from extreme anxiety attacks due to a chemical imbalance from the medications he has to take. He is a member of Hawk Pride CoC in Tuscumbia.
*Debbie Lambert is still waiting to be moved to HH. Right now she is still at UAB.
*Cecil Kimbrough, Kevin's dad, was released into Hospice care on Sunday. He is not eating and as a result is much weaker.
*Patrick Oundo, a friend of Ben Thompson, (in Africa) is grieving and having a hard time right now. His dad suddenly passed away in February and his mom suddenly passed away a few days ago.
What you need to know
*Tonight - The YAH will meet at 5:30 for a potluck meal. Anyone planning to donate to the NACCH will need to do so at this time.
*Tomorrow - Bible Bowl practice at 6:00.
*Saturday - The Men's Planning Breakfast at 8:00am. The meeting will begin immediately following breakfast.
*Sunday - Teacher Appreciation Day. We will have a lunch for our guest. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share. See Ben for invitations.
*Sunday - The Hospital Ministry will have a work day.
*Sunday - The YLTC will meet at 3:30.
*Sunday - The YMTC will conduct the PM service at Antioch CoC.
*Sunday night - The K-5th will have a devo.
*Sunday night - The Jr & Sr high will have devos.
*Nov.27 - The money cans for NACCH are due.
*LTL hotel registration forms are in available the foyer and fellowship hall.
A customer was really hassling an airline agent at the ticket counter -- yelling and using foul language. However, the agent was polite, pleasant and smiled while the customer continued to abuse her.
When the man finally left, the next person in line said to the agent, "Does that happen often? I can't believe how nice you were to him."
The agent smiled and said, "No problem, I took care of it.
He's going to Detroit. His bags are going to Bangkok."
