Newsletter Week 3, Term 3
St Michael's Catholic School Rotorua, Wednesday 10th August
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Tēnā koutou kātoa e te whānau,
Isn't it amazing how a bit of sunshine and warmth can boost the spirits. I have enjoyed getting outside with the kids at break times this week to enjoy the sunshine. We even have daffodils coming up in our garden at school.
Today Justin Harper, the new Principal at John Paul College came to meet our staff and amazing children. He was very impressed with the way our children engaged with him and made him feel welcome.
Next Monday our senior children will be traveling to Aquinas College in Tauranga to participate in our Kahui Ako Sports and Cultural Tournament. Thank you to those parents who have offered to transport and support the children for the day. We are looking forward to joining with the other Catholic Schools in our Kahui Ako for a fun day of sports and cultural events.
Ma te Atua koutou e manaaki,
Rachael McLanachan

The mobile dental caravan has arrived at school. Every child will be seen by the Dental Technicians over the following weeks.
Children with colds or flu-like symptoms are not permitted to attend school. Any children displaying these symptoms will be sent home. They must then get a COVID test and return a negative test before returning to school.
Please remember that if someone in your household has tested positive, your child needs to isolate with you. Please do not send your child to school if there is a close contact at home with Covid. We thank you for all doing your part to keep our school community safe.
