CFMS Newsletter
CFMS TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More!
August 26, 2020
Welcome to Clear Fork Middle School...
Welcome to the Middle School Newsletter! It will provide information about the upcoming year and upcoming school events.

A word from the Principal...
I cannot believe how fast August has gone by and, in just a few short days, we will have students attending classes both in person and remotely. Classrooms are set up, bulletin boards are getting done, seating charts are being made, and teachers are posting Open House Videos! Every teacher will be using Google Classroom to deliver the content for both our face-to-face learners and our remote learners. In this newsletter and on the website, you will be able to find the daily schedule for all of the classes. Remote learning students will need to login every day starting at 7:40am for morning announcements. The first class will begin at 7:45am just after the announcements.
What to expect during the first few days of school...
The first few days of school will focus on establishing new routines. Face-to-face learners will be working on arrival procedures, hand sanitizing and hand washing procedures, bathroom procedures, lunch procedures, mask protocol, and more. Remote learners will be expected to focus on logging in, attendance procedures, zoom etiquette, following a schedule, and handing in assignments. Some lessons will include get-to-know you activities and lightly hit on the content standards as the staff promote these new daily routines. Please be patient the first few days as we establish all of these new procedures.
Arrival to school...
While we have fewer students attending school, we are still anticipating a long line of cars the first few days of school for drop-off. Please be patient as we are taking temperatures and following new protocol. We will have cones up for the drop-off. We are asking that you pull up to the first cone. By doing this, we can take the temperatures of four to five cars at the same time. This should help to speed up the process of getting students into the building. Drop -ff starts at 7:20 and students will not be able to get into the building until their temperature has been taken. Please watch the attached video to better understand the process.
All of the Open House videos and the classroom information for both Remote Learners and Face-to-Face Learners has been posted on the Remote Learning tab on the Clear Fork Websites. Below is a link to the Remote page. Please take a moment to check out the open house videos!
I cannot stress how excited we are to be working with students this fall. We know this will be a new and unique experience for students, staff and parents. Please make sure that you are reaching out to us with any concerns you might have because "Together Everyone Achieves More"! I am looking forward to seeing everyone either face-to-face or in our zoom meetings! Until then, be safe, take care, "have a great day and make good decisions!"
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jennifer Klaus
This web page has all of the open house videos and all of the information on how to access information at home. This is also a place to go and find out how to contact the teacher.

Student Schedules
Attendance is taken by the participation in the activity and by the completed assignment.
REMOTE LEARNER SPECIFICS
Remote Learners will receive information on how to login to each of their classes including the CFMS Google Class during the remote learning supply pick up on Friday from 9am-1pm. Updated 8th Grade Scheduled as of 8/13/2020

Weekly Meal Pick Up Service
The Clear Fork website under Lunch Menu now has a link for parents of remote learners to fill out a weekly survey if they will be picking up meals. This form will open up every Friday at 8am and close on Sundays at 8pm. This is for remote learners and for students who ARE wanting meals. This will help us with meal counts and prep. If you have any questions please email the food service director at stallardj@clearfork.k12.oh.us. The Lunch Menu link and survey are at the top of the "Lunch Menu" page on the district website.
Thanks,
Mrs. Stallard
