ACT--TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH
On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, Wake County Public Schools will be administering the ACT test for all students in the 11th grade. The ACT is a five-hour test that consists of four multiple-choice sections that test skills in English grammar and composition, mathematics, reading comprehension, and natural sciences. The ACT also has a writing section which tests students’ skills in written expression.
This is an amazing opportunity to take this standardized test for free. Students will be able to report their scores to colleges. Please encourage your daughter to prepare for the ACT, and make sure that she gets a good night's rest and hearty breakfast that morning!
WYWLA JUNIORS WILL TAKE THE ACT ON OUR MAIN CAMPUS. STUDENTS SHOULD REPORT DIRECTLY TO LINEBERRY HALL.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION
Come celebrate with us on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Lineberry Hall Auditorium.
Enjoy performances of selected poems from award-winning author Jacqueline Woodson’s book, Brown Girl Dreaming as performed by our Performing Arts Troupe. Hear Glee’s Motown mash-up, and experience performances by artists, Sandra Dubose and
Eugene Taylor. Below are links to the websites of these professional African-American musicians who will also be featured at this free family event!
