Liberty Middle School

Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year

We are so excited to start our 2022/23 School Year.

It was great to see all of our families at Orientation. I hope that you could feel the excitement and sense of belonging that being a Blue Jay at Liberty Middle School brings.

This year we are continuing our focus on creating opportunities for our students to sharpen their learning habits. Our district's Graduate Profile will be a guide for our work. We will ask students to Learn Like a Blue Jay by being creative/critical thinkers, organized, collaborative, self-knowing, curious, imaginative, determined, and attentive. We want our learners to take ownership of their learning and to take pride in the effort that they put into it. These skills will lead to the success in their learning for the years to come.

With that said, we want to welcome to all of our incoming 6th Grade Blue Jays and welcome back this year's 7th and 8th Grade Blue Jays. Liberty Middle School is right where you belong!

Return to Learn Changes for 2022/23

As we have transitioned through the 2020, 2021, and now 2022 school years, we have continued to monitor and adjust our return to learn plan. This year we will ask all students to use their lockers to keep their backpacks and their personal electronic devices (cell phones, wired/wireless headphones, etc.) locked up during the school day. Our goal is to limit distractions to the learning environment.

We will continue to provide masks for students that would need them. Keep an eye out for more information to come from both LMS and LPS on any procedural changes.
