How much time of working hours?
Children of age 14 and 15 should work no longer than 3 hours on school days, 8 hours on a non-school day, 18 hours on a school week, 40 hours on a non-school week, not earlier than 7 a.m. and not after 7 p.m., and not during school hours.
Where do I find a job if I'm at age 14?
A lot of teens are wondering where they should go and work when they are only 14 and 15. Well that's easy, at these ages children can start out small. Some children do not know where to go because they do not think before they act, some of these children go and work at drug stores, and clubs when they are under age to be working at these places. Places you could work as/at are babysitter, at an ice cream store, a cashier at a small store, or you can even make your own lemonade stand.(Never get involved in drug stores)
What about a lemonade stand?
For starters, you can get some help from your parents by borrowing some money and buying the things you need the most like cups, lemons, sugar, etc. any necessary materials you might need. And remember to start small, you might start with one or two customers but as soon as your stand gets growing the more and more customers you'll get.
Why a cashier?
Most teens think that being a cashier is only for those who understand math, but no. A cashiers job is to make sure everyone pays for what they buy and you do not have to know a lot of math to be able to be a cashier.
Do I still have to go to school even if I have a job?
Even if you have a job you still have to go to school, your education is something that will help you get a real job someday. If you don't go to school you wouldn't know how much money you'll earn, how to read, etc. This is why going to school is important and why you shouldn't work during school hours.
Now I know what to do!!!
Now you know from what times you can go to work, good places to work at, and if you need to go to school or not. If you start now, you can start saving up money for your college! your the one who is helping yourself to someday get a college degree and have a real job.
