Shout Outs
Mr. Bobby, Ms. Delores, Mrs. Carrie, Ms. Lene, Mr. Hakeen and Ms. Curtistene for keeping our school looking great! I constantly receive complaints on how good the school looks! Thank you for the pride you take in your job. You are appreciated!
Thanks Kelli for adjusting to being split between two schools. You are doing a Yeomans' job of still providing for Lesslie students. Your hard work and efforts are appreciated!
Thanks to Kaitlyn Marr and Karen Kilburn for agreeing to sponsor Girls on the Run! You are awesome for working with our girls! Thank You!
Donna Freemon on being selected to be on Wheel of Fortune and for giving Lesslie a Shout Out! We are so proud of you!
The Lesslie Faculty and Staff for the adorable picture you gave me for my birthday! Thank you for remembering me on my special day!
Data Meetings
We will have data meetings during the upcoming collaborative team planning times from 1:40 p.m. - 3: 30 p.m. beginning on October 12th. Please review your individual and grade level data and come prepared to discuss each students' achievement.
SLO/GBE
Please review your individual and grade level data when writing SLO and GBE goals. Your SLO and GBE should support our school renewal plan (formerly SIP) and our district goals. Since our data indicates that math is an area that is in need of improvement, everyone should plan to write Student Learning Objectives and Goals that focus on improving math achievement.
Your GBE goals should support your individual growth.
SLO/GBE conferences will be held October 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th and 19th. The sign up sheet will be in my mailbox after lunch on, Monday, October 9th.
Our district is supporting schools and teachers by providing Math at a Glance professional development every 9 weeks. The district is paying for substitutes for 2 teachers from every elementary school. Some of you have requested that everyone in the grade level attend and there may be times that I suggest that everyone attend to collaborate together. These opportunities are not optional. We will send at least 2 teachers to each Math at a Glance for professional development sessions. This time will be used to support you as you plan for the upcoming 9 weeks. Please be positive and take advantage of these opportunities.
