Weekly Update

Week of May 9-13

We enjoyed the first week of the STEM Bus! 2nd and fourth grade have started their journey studying coding and engineering. All students in grades K-5 will have multiple hands on lessons and experiential learning opportunities throughout the STEM Bus visit.

Our students also practiced bus safety and did bus evacuation drills this week.

STEM FAMILY NIGHT

We will be welcoming families into the building on May 18th for a hands on STEM night experience! We will have multiple stations set up for families to learn and explore together!

We will be needing volunteers to help run some of the stations at STEM night. You can sign up for a time slot and then still have time to have fun with family after! Please reach out to the office if you are interested in volunteering.

We we will also be planning some field trips this spring in May and June. To volunteer please fill out the volunteer application sooner than later to ensure you are cleared and good to go!

    Secretary Day

April 27th was Secretary Appreciation Day. We are so thankful for the most amazing secretary in the world. Ms. Danielle Herndon has been the best addition to our front office. She greets our students everyday, keeps an organized, highly functional office and shows so much love every day to all of our students and staff. Make sure you tell her how great she is next time you see or speak to her!

    Teacher Appreciation Week

This week was teacher appreciation week. Our teachers felt so much love from our students, staff and families. They enjoyed endless treats all week and an extended lunch break together on Friday. We are thankful for the volunteers who donated food, time, baked goods and gifts for our staff. The joy on their faces when they were relieved of their lunchtime duties to enjoy time together to eat and relax was priceless! Teacher appreciation and classified appreciation officially happen once a year, but we are so thankful for our wonderful staff everyday of the year.
